Veränderungen im Rollenbild des Controllers

Das Rollenbild des Controllers ist permanent
im Wandel. Der vorliegende Beitrag vergleicht zunächst die vier in der
Fachliteratur wesentlichen Ansätze des Controllings, nämlich den
informationsbezogen, den erfolgszielbezogen, den koordinationsbezogen
und den Ansatz des Controllers zur Rationalitätssicherung der Führung.
Um das heute gängige Rollenverständnis des Controllers zu untersuchen
wurde eine empirische Studie durchgeführt, bei der 110 in Deutschland
börsennotierte Unternehmen befragt wurden. Im Ergebnis zeichnet sich
eine Entwicklung des Controllers weg vom »Number Cruncher« (deutsch:
Zahlenschubser, Zahlenschmied) und »Verwalter« hin zum »Challenger«,
»Berater« bzw. »Advanced Navigator« ab. Dies ist konsistent mit der
aktuellen Wahrnehmung des Controllers bei Deutsche Post World Net. Der
Konzern wird sich auch in Zukunft den mit diesem Wandel verbundenen
Herausforderungen stellen. |
Controllers’ role has changed constantly
over the past decades. This is still the case today. This article
compares four controlling approaches most commonly discussed in
literature. The Information based, the Target Profit based and the
Coordination based approach as well as that of Securing Rationality of
the Management. To investigate this prevailing role perception of
controllers today, an empirical study had been conducted. 110 companies
listed in Germany were surveyed for their predominant role perception of
the Controller. The result shows a tendency to steer away from the
traditional perception such as »Number Cruncher« and »Administrator«
towards more modern controlling images such as »Challenger«, »Consultant«
and »Advanced Navigator« respectively. This is in line with the
perception of Controlling within the Deutsche Post World Net group,
which is ready to meet the future challenges related to the changing
role of Controlling.
